Legislative Update 4-28-22

Some session highlights include:

  • DLI required to develop an average SQF value for new 1 & 2 family homes. This metric will be used in city formulas to determine permit price.

  • Permanent building fee reductions retroactively from 10-1-21

  • Require DLI to adopt a new commercial energy code and amend it as necessary to achieve a minimum of eight percent additional energy efficiency.

  • Industrialized/modular residential buildings may not be prohibited by regulation.
